The Sunset Strip IT Support
The Sunset Strip is the name given to the stretch of Sunset Boulevard that passes through West Hollywood, from Hayvenhurst Drive on the east to Sierra Drive on the west.
Fun Fact: As a long unincorporated section of Los Angeles, The Strip has seen speakeasies, casinos and bootleggers in the 20s, movie stars in the 30s & 40s, declining in the 50s. The 60's brought the counterculture: hippies and rock stars, who frolicked there in stoned-out drunken stupors throughout the 70s. Music still reigned through the 80's with the New Wave & Punk scenes. By the 90s, although the Whiskey, House of Blues, Key Club & the Roxy remained, the Grunge & Alternative bands scattered to new venues around the city (even in The Valley!), causing many of the former denizens to get jobs so that they could afford gasoline. Nowadays, pricey shops & boutiques dominate the scene, but one can still find mostly attractive women alone on the sidewalks at 3 in the morning.
