IT Support LA was born out of this community back in 2002, where we have served the San Fernando Valley, as well as the Greater Los Angeles area as a Managed IT Services firm for all these years. The people have been kind to us, allowing us to grow and provide ever-better services at a very reasonable expense, and we strive to give back to our community whenever we can. We are grateful for the opportunities this great region has given us as part of the IT Support Los Angeles Community, and we look for every opportunity, not only to repay the kindness, but to pay it forward.

Our CEO, Yuri Aberfeld and on the Program Committee Board of Haven Hills, which helps victims of domestic abuse with various services, including a safe shelter, and Pups Without Borders, a charity that rescues dogs in the US and Mexico. We are a consistent contributor to The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and sits on the Board of the cancer charity Rally Hearts Foundation.

As a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association (SFVBA), Yuri is also on the board of the SFVBA charity, The Valley Community Legal Foundation (VCLF).
VCLF Mission Statement: “As the charitable arm of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Valley Community Legal Foundation promotes education in the law, provides scholarships to qualified students pursuing law related studies, supports the courts, increases access to justice, and assists families in conflict and victims of domestic violence with their legal needs. The Foundation relies on volunteers and donations for the services it provides.”

Help for Aspiring Geeks
Yuri has founded Capabil-IT Inc., a non-profit which offers after-hours free programs to individuals who aspire to a career in IT support and services, with the goal of assisting them with their learning, certifications, and job placement. The emphasis of Capabil-IT is that it bridges the gap between typical ‘School-Taught’ IT and real life IT support.

Legal and Medical
IT Support LA is highly involved with our local legal community as active contributors to the events and galas of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Associations, as well as ongoing contributors of content concerning IT Support, with a focus on CyberSecurity and its legal aspects, to Valley Lawyer Magazine. We have also published in the National Medical Magazine Today’s Practice. We work with both the legal and medical communities through free seminars which address the legal ramifications and government penalties for becoming victims of data breaches which put their clients’ confidential information at risk.

FREE e-waste Pickup and Disposal
IT Support LA wants to prevent the casual and irresponsible disposal of toxic e-waste of all kinds, which are all too commonly just carelessly thrown into the office dumpster out back. This is poison to our environment and must be handled with care and disposed of properly. Perhaps it’s the cost that prevents businesses from following the law in this regard, but since we routinely arrange, and pay for, the proper disposal of such waste, we will shoulder the responsibility and cost of keeping our Earth safer from these toxic compounds.

Yuri Aberfeld, CEO of IT Support LA feels that now, more than ever we must all help each other – from our local neighbors to the business community and calls upon everyone in the IT Support Los Angeles Community to help wherever they can and as much as they can.
